Agaricus blazei Murrill, commonly known as Brazilian Mushroom, is a fungal species naturally distributed in coastal grasslands of Florida, plains of southern California in the United States, as well as in Brazil and Peru.
It is renowned as a traditional food in the mountainous area approximately 200 kilometers outside São Paulo, Brazil, where local residents have consumed it since ancient times. Researchers have observed that the inhabitants of this region tend to enjoy longevity and a low incidence of age-related conditions, which is associated with the regular intake of this mushroom.
Available as powder and extract, Agaricus blazei is widely used in daily wellness formulations.
