Our procurement team is checking Sophora japonica fields 3 hours driving from ACE Biotechnology factory, where the famous "Golden Sophora" is cultivated.
Sophora japonica are usually tall trees, harvesting the flower buds damages the plant and forest. To pursue our sustainable future we have developed grafting and pruning technologies for this plant, now flavonoid-rich buds are produced from short trees like you see from the photos.
Sophora flower bud is the important botanical resource for Rutin and Quercetin, which are wildly used phytochemicals. Quercetin, as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and analgesic compound, is scientifically verified a potential treatment for severe inflammation and one of the main life-threatening conditions in patients with COVID-19.
